The Accelerator for Systemic Risk Assessment (ASRA) is inviting applications for a Research Analyst role focused on the systemic risks of climate change. This position will contribute to research on the global implications of exceeding the Paris Agreement’s 1.5°C temperature threshold.
Role Details
- Location: Fully Remote
- Engagement Type: Full-time consultancy
- Contract Duration: Until September 2027
- Compensation: USD 333 per day

Key Responsibilities
- Research the systemic consequences of crossing the 1.5°C global warming threshold, including impacts on atmospheric, land, and ocean systems
- Assess broader cascading and cross-sector risks linked to climate change
- Produce high-quality briefing notes, research memos, and presentation materials
- Communicate research findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Organize and manage references, datasets, and research documentation
- Participate in team meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagement activities
- Support the design and coordination of stakeholder engagement processes
- Contribute to additional ASRA initiatives, including network events and online engagements
Candidate Profile
- Degree-qualified or equivalent professional experience
- Understanding of systems thinking, risk, resilience, and systemic risk frameworks
- Research experience in climate change or Earth System science
- Ability to conduct primary research, including interviews and surveys
- Experience engaging with diverse stakeholders across public, private, and community sectors
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage
- Proven ability to work independently in a remote and flexible environment
- Strong organizational, reporting, and time-management skills
