Job Description
As a Software Engineer I (LLM Engineer), you will be responsible for developing, fine-tuning, and deploying large language models that power Zebra’s contextual intelligence systems. The role focuses on bridging the gap between AI research and production-ready enterprise applications.
You will work on domain-specific model optimization to ensure accurate, scalable, and low-latency performance across business workflows. This includes designing embeddings, prompt structures, and integrating AI systems into production APIs.
Key Responsibilities
- Fine-tune open-source and proprietary LLMs using domain-specific datasets
- Deploy and operationalize models within the Workcloud AI Platform
- Design and optimize embeddings and prompt engineering pipelines
- Implement post-training techniques such as SFT and PEFT (LoRA, QLoRA)
- Build and integrate AI models with scalable APIs and inference systems
- Collaborate with prompt engineers and data scientists for model alignment
- Monitor and improve model performance including latency, accuracy, and cost
