Job Description

Dell Technologies is looking for a Field Service Engineer 1 who will provide technical support and services to enterprise customers. The role involves diagnosing and resolving complex hardware and software issues, performing upgrades, and ensuring the availability and reliability of enterprise storage environments.

The selected candidate will deliver on-site break-fix support, proactive maintenance services, and technical expertise for enterprise storage platforms such as PowerMAX and Unity. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams and maintaining high service standards for assigned client accounts.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide timely on-site support including break-fix services and preventive maintenance for enterprise systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues for customer environments.
  • Perform code upgrades and firmware updates across Dell Technologies products.
  • Plan and manage service activities for assigned enterprise accounts.
  • Ensure enterprise storage platforms remain highly available and secure.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of Dell EMC products and technologies.
  • Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and service offerings.

Skills and Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree (B.E / B.Tech).
  • Experience: 1 to 3 years of relevant experience as a Customer Engineer or Field Engineer providing break-fix support.
  • Technical Knowledge: Hands-on experience with Dell Technologies storage products such as PowerMAX, Symmetrix, Unity, Isilon, ECS, and DD.
  • Certifications:
    • Dell EMC product certification at the Professional Specialist level (preferred).
    • Industry certifications in Linux, Windows, VMware, or Networking are beneficial.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical troubleshooting skills, communication abilities, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
