Job Description
As an Engineering Intern at GE Aerospace, you will work with engineering teams involved in the design and analysis of aerospace turbomachinery systems. This internship provides practical exposure to advanced technologies used in aero engine components.
Interns will work on real engineering projects and contribute to the development of innovative solutions in aerospace technology. The internship duration is typically 2–3 months and allows interns to take ownership of assigned projects.
About the Site
The John F. Welch Technology Center (JFWTC) in Bengaluru was established in 2000 and serves as GE Aerospace’s multidisciplinary research and engineering center. Engineers and scientists at this center have contributed to numerous aviation patents and breakthroughs in engine technologies, advanced materials, and additive manufacturing.
Roles and Responsibilities
Selected interns will:
Work on one or two engineering projects during the 2–3 month internship period
Develop technical expertise in their chosen engineering discipline
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams
Receive mentorship and guidance from experienced technologists
Present project progress through reports, presentations, and documentation
Required Qualifications
Candidates must:
Be pursuing a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
Have strong technical fundamentals and analytical skills
Possess an execution mindset and ability to work independently
Have good communication and teamwork skills in a global work environment
Desired Qualifications
Knowledge or experience in the following areas is preferred:
Structural Mechanics
