About Seagate Team

The group works on firmware development, DevOps methodologies, and product engineering. You will be part of the Cloud Systems and Services group, which is developing a new storage software platform for enterprise-class storage controllers.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and document software design.
• Work with testing and development teams to solve technical issues.
• Assist in design and development of storage-based products.
• Participate in requirement gathering calls and contribute to firmware design.
• Collaborate with support teams to solve customer-reported problems.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of C, C++ and Python.
• Basics of embedded RTOS, Linux user process, and device drivers.
• Understanding of multi-threading and inter-process communication.
• Familiarity with bash scripting, Git, SVN, Jira, Eclipse IDE.
• Problem-solving ability and willingness to work in a team.
• Knowledge of Agile / SCRUM methodologies is preferred.
