Role Overview
As a Junior SRE Engineer, you’ll work on maintaining and improving the reliability of HPE’s networking and cloud systems. This role blends software engineering + system operations, focusing on automation, monitoring, and incident handling.
You’ll gain hands-on experience with:
- Large-scale distributed systems
- Cloud infrastructure
- Automation tools
- Real-time production environments
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring system health using tools like Prometheus & Grafana
- Troubleshooting production issues and identifying root causes
- Handling incidents and participating in on-call rotations
- Working with Kubernetes and containerized environments
- Writing automation scripts (Python/Shell)
- Collaborating with developers for system reliability
- Optimizing system performance and capacity planning
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT / related field
- 2024 or 2025 graduates
- Strong fundamentals in:
- Linux
- Networking (TCP/IP, DNS)
- Basic scripting (Python/Shell)
- Knowledge of cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus
- Good problem-solving and communication skills
